I discovered that 18 hours in a car gives you a lot of time to think.
(Unless you are teenage boys, all they need is their phone: texting, music and You Tube)
I started thinking about assessment tools for this year. I came up with these three books.
The first page is for the first week of school to get that first snapshot of each student's personal skill level. There are four pages after that to collect another sample at the end of each quarter. My thought is to keep all of these pages together in book form to see each student's progress or weakness at a glance. I can also use them for parent/teacher conferences, IEP meetings, and at the end of the year it can be a keepsake added to their portfolio for their parents to see their growth.
You can get them for free at my TpT store.

Your comment made me laugh. I also have 3 boys and boy do they love those phones, of course not to talk on! You must be very proud of your son. I live in AZ. Hopefully he will enjoy the heat.
ReplyDeleteI am, I am! They told him to watch out for rattlesnakes. Someone on base was recently bit by one! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
