Preschool Mazes

I had a student last year that was really interested in mazes.
I had a hard time finding some that he could be successful at on his own.
Most of the ones out there are designed for older aged kids.  I created these with him in mind.
There are 10 different mazes to choose from.
Just a fun way to build those "left-to-right" and "fine motor" pre-writing skills
as well as problem solving skills!

I'm Back!!

I have been out of the loop for the past two weeks!
Some upstairs plumbing issues made it "rain" in my kitchen!
Wouldn't you know it would be right over the table where my laptop is!

I ordered a new computer right away but had to wait almost two weeks for it to arrive!  Grrrr!
When it did arrive of course it didn't work!
But after 6 hours with the Geek Squad at Best Buy they had it all ready to go.
Get this, the problem was that my BRAND NEW computer needed 55 updates!
The Geek Squad said that's how fast technology is growing!
Crazy to think!!
Very happy to be back!  Didn't realize how bad I was addicted!!

Preschool Assessment Books (FREEBIE)

I discovered that 18 hours in a car gives you a lot of time to think.
(Unless you are teenage boys, all they need is their phone: texting, music and You Tube)
I started thinking about assessment tools for this year.  I came up with these three books.

The first page is for the first week of school to get that first snapshot of each student's personal skill level. There are four pages after that to collect another sample at the end of each quarter.  My thought is to keep all of these pages together in book form to see each student's progress or weakness at a glance.  I can also use them for parent/teacher conferences, IEP meetings, and at the end of the year it can be a keepsake added to their portfolio for their parents to see their growth.
You can get them for free at my TpT  store.

I had an amazing time watching my son graduate from basic training.
He will now be calling Arizona home for the next 8 months.  So far away!!!!!!

4th of July Sale!

This is going to be a 4th of July weekend that I will never forget!
My oldest son is graduating from basic training on Friday.
Family day is on the 4th!  It has been a long 10 weeks for this Army mom!
I'm so proud of him and excited to see him!
To celebrate our country's birthday and my son's graduation, everything in my store will be 20% off from July 4th - July 7th.
Here is a temporary picture for now!  I will post more after graduation!
Have a safe and fun weekend!

Colors and Shapes

In just a few more weeks, I will be starting over with a fresh batch of preschoolers.
One of the first games I will teach them is how to go on color and shape hunts.
My students LOVE these games every year!
Not only is it a great way to get kids up and moving as they learn but a great way to build language skills too.   I have students take turns sharing the name of their color or shape and the name of the item they found.
To freshen up the game this year, I made these cards for the kids to hold during their hunt.

Summertime is here!

Ahh, summer break....
My house is clean, my boys have summer jobs (which means I don't have to clean up after them!),
just me and the dogs all day.

As you can tell they require so much of my attention!

There are so many things I want to create while I have some extra time this summer.
I finished my first project today.

This would be great extra practice for counting and number writing during the summer.
Click on the picture below to get it for $1.00 at my TpT store!
Have a great weekend!
